Dr. Stapleton is an accomplished Registered Psychologist and Forensic Specialist with over a decade of experience spanning correctional, clinical, academic, and private practice settings. She is highly skilled in psychological and forensic assessment, trauma-informed therapy, and risk evaluation, and has worked extensively with individuals affected by trauma, cognitive impairments, and complex mental health challenges.
Dr. Stapleton’s expertise includes providing psychological assessments for the Parole Board of Canada, court-ordered pre-sentence evaluations for the Provincial Health Authority, and high-profile assessments for law enforcement, military, and first responder agencies. She is proficient in administering personality and cognitive assessments, delivering evidence-based therapy, and offering consultation and training in trauma-informed approaches.
In her private practice, Dr. Stapleton offers a full range of services in forensic, clinical, and counselling psychology. Her work encompasses trauma therapy, psychoeducational and psychodiagnostic assessments, and forensic evaluations—including violence risk and sexual risk assessments for pretrial purposes, cognitive assessments for defendants, and expert witness services.
